Special Quality Requirements
(Applicable only if specified in the Purchase Order)
1. MoD and Aerospace Contracts:
- This order may be subject to Quality Assurance activities by the MoD or aerospace authorities.
- All quality arrangements must align with Defence Standard (DEF STAN) 05-61 Parts 1-3, as stated in the order.
2. Access and Inspection:
- The seller must allow ECS, its customers, or regulatory authorities access to facilities and records related to the Purchase Order.
- Records must not be destroyed without prior written consent and must be retained for a minimum of 7 years.
3. Process Changes:
- Any changes in product or process definitions must be approved in writing by ECS before proceeding.
4. Certificates and Documentation:
- A Mill Certificate showing traceability is required. If specified, a NAMAS-approved Certificate of Chemical and Physical Analysis is necessary.
- A Release Certificate in line with AS9100/ISO9001/Nadcap standards must accompany the delivery.
5. Subcontracting:
- Further subcontracting is prohibited without ECS’s prior written approval.
6. Inspection and Delivery Requirements:
- Supplies are subject to inspection post-delivery by ECS’s approved inspection organisation.
- A Certificate of Conformity or Letter of Quality Assurance signed by a responsible party must confirm compliance with the order.
7. Additional Quality Requirements:
- Any additional quality specifications outlined in the main Purchase Order apply.
